Ever have a " k-line stuck " error message on your VAGCOM?

Ever have a " k-line stuck " error message on your VAGCOM?
I need a break from work so I thought I'd document something I dealt with over the weekend.
I've only seen a very few referenes to the k-line being stuck on the C4 forum, but it's worth posting anyway. I was working on a new project over the weekend and couldn't get my VWTOOL or VAGCOM to connect to ANY of the control modules. I ran the test function on VAGCOM and it told me that one of the possible problems was a stuck k-line. I've seen this happen before when ABS control modules go bad. Have also heard of aftermarket radios causing this problem, and transmission control modules.
I started unplugging control modules and equipment until I found the problem. In this case it was the stock Audi stereo. It had a blown fuse on the back...maybe that was part of it. In any case, both the stereo and the diagnostic systems are working well again.
