Is this the same thing as the throttle position sensor?

I think so, but it would be cheaper to get a whole new Throttle Body with a good TPS on it.
and it would be less of a headache to change--4 bolts as opposed to a couple bolts, some springs, and some other garbage.. IIRC.

i've got one.
i read your post and went to look in my stuff. there is a throttle body there. the switch is not on it, but it's around here somewhere. gotta look at my 92 100 and see what it looks like first. send me an email. i can let you have either switch alone or together with tb for a much less than $144.
