which socket for diff flange bolt?
I'm looking at replacing my differential output seals. I got as far as the flange bolts, which are some sort of 12 point. There turns out to be a few different types.
Does anyone know which socket I need?
I'm reasonably sure I need the "triple square" as opposed to the "double hex" or "sextuple dual" or even the "twelvuple-single". Is this correct? These audi's are 10mm IIRC
Check out even autozone, they sell a set with 6,8,10,12mm for cheap that will do the job. Yes they are 'tripple square', technical name for them is XZN.

Pep Boys has them too
Only place I could find them. Autozone - NO, Partas America-NO, NAPA-NO, Sears_Craftsman-NO Carquest-NO (the guy wanted to argue with me that no such thing exists, and that I really wanted Torx)
