stereo problems

ahhh I can't drive w/o music and my stereo will (at best) come on when it feels like it... more or less just cuts in and out all the time. any thoughts?

Is it an aftermarket?

My car came with an aftermarket stereo and the canibalized the wires...

If someone did the same to yours they probably left some cable open or some loose conection

nada its the original... can't remember which one it is off hand but its in a 98 C4 avant I can push the button in and out and every once in a while, when the car is heated up and I've been driving for a while, it will pop back on for an undetermined period of time...

have you check the connectors on the rear of the radio? sound like something is lose

or the on/off switch is faulty..

semi-hijack

is the concert known for having these types of problems? Mine works fine, but... when i turn the volume a click up/down, sometimes it will jump about 5-6 clicks in that direction and it likes to make my passengers jump when its in the up direction...
