Will not start
i had an overheating problem like the ones i have read in the forum, took my car to a garage and orderd thermosat water pump and hoses from the internet. The garage replaced waterpump thermostat and serpintine belt. wanted to start the car to put antifreeze in and it wouldnt start. Soo the car cranks over lights in dash come on oil press goes up while cranking, but no starting. no volts on the plugs. compresson is good. can anyone help me???

You will have to beg, borrow, or buy a VAG-COM in order to read the stored codes to see what is wrong.
Did they remove the timing belt to replace the waterpump? Did they use the special cam locking tool? Could be that the timing is off.

No you will not get a spark if the timing is off. The crank signal and the cam signal must be aligned properly, ask "snowman" what happen to him when his timing was off.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a6100/msgs/29865.phtml">No start after timing belt replacement</a></li></ul>

get back to basics...
did it run after the work was done? did you drive it home? how long? hours, days weeks? i'd say if you just had the work done and now it won't start, i'd be calling the garage that did the work.
assuming it ran after the work was done and it ran ok, did you do anything since? i'm a firm believer in "what did i do last?" being the biggest cause of problems.

still sitting at the garage. I had an overheat problem towed it to a garage they replaced the thermostat waterpump serpentine belt etc. No start.
I had to start it for the tow truck driver it ran no problem.
tear it all apart and check the timing??

Snowking final solution

It was the timing
brought car to audi dealership alligned timing marker on pulley and both cam lobes were out of time by about 4 teeth. mechanic put on the bar and was finished in about 10 mins. cranked right over.
drove it home :-)
