Window problem solved!
The cable that lifts the window had jumped out of its' track, slightly, therefore, binding at the top of its' travel. At the top and bottom of the door, there are green, plastic pullys that guides the cable. The metal 'carriage' that holds the top pully has a tab that is intended to keep the cable on the pully, but when the window is completely down, the cable has enough slack to jump outside of that tab. Without having to remove the entire inner door frame, I had just enough room to reach in there and correctly re-route the cable.
The tricky (and time consuming) thing was finding the problem because it is very well hidden inside the door. I was able to find it using lights at night and seeing the mis-routed cable in the reflection of the window. Lucky me. I was on the verge of removing the inner door frame, which would have greatly increased the job.
I then looked for a way to try adjusting the slack out of the cable to prevent it from happening again, but was unsuccesful.
If you look again, you may see that there is a spring on one side of the motor unit. It could be that this has seized.
