20V Chip
I just bought a 20v avant and am thinking about chipping it. I know about IA and TAP. What gets best results? How much of an increase do I want? Anyone have a used chip? What should I check on car before I decide to do it? What about stress on engine?

Mihnea chipped mine.
Good for 275-280hp and over 300 lbs-ft torque. Great guy to deal with. Really knows the motronic system inside and out. Very knowledgable.

He'll pretty much customize the mapping to whatever suits you and your upgrades
I personally don't see myself spending the kind of cash it would take to get an RS2 turbo and other performance bits, so the chip alone will suit me fine. He even mapped it to be optimized for the grade of fuel we can get here, which is limited to 91 octane for the most part.

I can't decide what I'll end up doing. I know that I'm going to purchase the RS2 EM when I do the rebuild, but nothing more until I win the lottery. So I may chip it and be happy with 275hp, but I'd like to hit 330-350 when all is said and done. I'll need a suspension set-up too sometime in the near future...plus a brake upgrade...I'd like to repaint the car as well...and..........unquenchable thirst continues......
