90CS Quattro vs. 90CS Quattro Sport
Besides the obvious differences:
Standard Sport Seats
Steel Rear Wing
Radio Antenna in Rear Window instead of quater panel
Boge "Turbo Gas" instead of "Touring" Shocks
My friend has a 95 90CS Quattro and in a side by side comparison, my Sport seems to be lower almost 1 inch after measuring hub center to wheel well. Besides my shocks being stiffer, the suspension rides much stiffer than his and nicer.
I inquired about new springs and I was told the H&Rs for this car would lower the car 1.5 inches, but then asked if I had a Sport Model because it would only lower the car 0.5 inches.
Beside the info above, has anyone confirmed the stock sport springs are lower than the standards?? I ask this because I haven't seen it written or posted anywhere. Even when describing the "Sport" model though the original brochures, nothing in the suspension is mentioned.

If I recall correctly the Sport springs are 20mm's lower then the stock quattro springs.
But yes they are lower. I have seen quattro models with H&R's and they look pretty low. So if thats what you want I say go for it.

All 4 shocks are different for real "sports", but only the rear springs were changed...
...fronts are the same as non-sport. Check for the option code 1BE on the option code sticker in the trunk/spare wheel well.

To clear a few things up... [edit]
<b>Standard Sport Seats</b> - only '93 CS quattro (no sport designation in '93 - at least in the US)/'94 CS quattro sports and '95 sport/quattro sports had sport seats. Only '95s had the option of jacquard sport cloth (at least in the US).
<b>Steel Rear Wing</b> - '93/'94s had an aluminum 2-post rear wing, most, if not all '95s had a fiberglass 4-post from the factory/dealer installed
<b>Radio Antenna in Rear Window instead of quater panel</b> - some '94/'95 cars had them, '93s did not
<b>Boge "Turbo Gas" instead of "Touring" Shocks</b> - Yes, all 4 shocks were different for sports, but only the rear springs were changed, same fronts.
<b>My friend has a 95 90CS Quattro and in a side by side comparison, my Sport seems to be lower almost 1 inch after measuring hub center to wheel well. Besides my shocks being stiffer, the suspension rides much stiffer than his and nicer.</b> - 1.) There were no CS quattros in '95, it was changed to 90/90 quattro/90 sport/90 quattro sport. 2.) As we talked about before, '95s were mis-moshed and pieced together - my car has the VIN of a non-quattro sport, yet has all the quattro sport options. I've seen VINs for sports with NO sport options - in '95 they were kinda throwing whatever on whichever cars.

The rear on a <b>real</b> sport does sit lower in the rear - check for code 1BE on the option code sticker.

Ah, Thanks for the info.
I am not sure if I am going get the springs yet.
