FIBER IMAGES B4 HOOD GROUP BUY
Granted, its an older Audi market, but the product quality is excellent, and I for one am very happy to have a product of this caliber available for our older cars.
The first composite hood I ever installed was a "low priced" $400 fiberglass shell, no internal supports, I ended up spending almost $1000 to have a body shop refinish it and mount it to the car. Granted I could have done the body work myself, but it was hours and hours of filling voids, trying to bond brackets to the bottom of the hood, trying to match the gaps which were horribly off.
In the end, my $1500 hood sagged, would get speed wobbles above 50 mph and the brackets kept breaking off, very dissapointing at the least.
With freight anywhere in the US, this hood will come in under $900, fits perfectly, won't sag, doesn't wobble, and the finish is so nice you don't even need to paint it if you don't want to.
So there it is, I can vouch that this hood is MUCH more substantial than your average $400 civic hood, there is a reason FI charges more for this hood, and its not to just rip off Audi owners =)
Thanks,
