Default Just blew past 10,000th Mount-Saver!

As of today 10,016 Mount-Savers have been distributed in less than one year without a single reported failure to date. Even if an ultra-conservative estimate of only 2,000 miles is attached to each one that's an aggregate mileage of over 20 million combined street, off-road, rally, hill climb, rally school, road race and highway miles.

Not bad for a home garage privateer effort!!

That's quite the milestone for a "home garage privateer"! ;o) Congrats!

Default easily more than 10k on mine... no signs of failure, no sagging.

Gotta laugh when I open the hood on the rally beater... stock sagged mounts... friggin slotted nut is sitting flush with the stamped body metal...

but... no knocking or problems with them... still fun to get a wheel off the ground. Would like pro mounts though.

Default careful with those sagging mounts! I see cars here in the junkyard by the dozens with...

strut tower sheet metal flared upwards on collapsed mounts underneath the cupped washers on all except B4 chassis cars. B4's "I think" resist this due to the additional 2.5mm thick strut bar caps welded to em adding a dramatic increase in strength. All earlier cars are just 2 layers of thin sheet metal. I haven't seen it yet but it's just a matter of time before the right pothole comes along and some pre-B4 chassis car blows its mounts thru the strut tower/hood.

*NOTE: I'm not saying "buy Mount-Savers" but moreover just get some mounts in there with some compliance in them!

Default ya... frame is already a little tweeked from previous owner hitting something...

New mounts will go in when I upgrade the suspension. It's doing pretty well for 19yo.
