vw mk2 rear coilovers on fwd 80?

does anyone see why this wouldnt work?

The B3 uses a cartridge in the front. A MkII rear uses a shock. It will not fit in the strut.

what i meant was, would the rear suspension of the mk2 and the rear suspension of a fwd 80 be interchangeable.

Just came back across this. For anyone who is looking to do this, the rear vw mk1 coilovers do fit the rear audi 80 b3 rear suspension. These go super low. The only draw back is that there is not a lot of travel and the ride isn't as smooth.

What is the length and rate of the spring you're using?

The spring rate for the rear is 320 lb/in. Not sure about the length. i would have to measure that. You have to call to get the rears only. Heres a link to the product:
