A3 Blower - does new one require coding
My Audi A3 2016 blower stop working completely - no spin at all on any dial setting.
I replaced with a brand new unit with the resistor included and it still doesn't work. Still no spin on any dial setting.
I tested the 40a fuse and all good, and I get 13v at the plug connecting to the blower (across the thicker wires). I'm not sure what I should be measuring at the very thin wire.
When I read with VCDS, I get 2 faults as follows:
393476 - Air Blower
B10BE 13 [008] - open circuit
393479 - Air Blower
B10BE31 [009] - No Signal
Do i need to use VCDS to recode and accept the brand new unit? And if so does anyone have instructions on how to do this?
Any help is very much appreciated
Thanks

Thick Yellow/Black wire to ground = 13v
Thick Brown wire to ground 0v
Thick Yellow/Black wire to brown wire = 13v
Thin wire to ground = 11v fixed ..... I would expect this to vary when the speed control **** is rotated. (I guessing here though.)
I've also done a VCDS reset and I now only get one fault code:
393479 - Air Blower
B10BE31 [009] - No Signal
Cheers
