Alpine 9812RR
Hi All
I have the Alpine 9812RR ready to be installed but Im confused?? I thought it was just a case of pulling out the concert unit, connecting the ISO and areial and fitting the facia adapter in but after reading a few posts it seems its not that easy.
Im only wanting to change the head unit and use the exsisting speakers.
I think I have the BOSE system which I now think could be a problem?
Im ready to do the install...what other leads (if any) do I need and do I need a different areial for the DAB??
Im very confused and need all the help I can get!

Yeah, you also need the active speaker harness adapter to link the HU to the Bose 4 channel amp.
The 9812rr doesn't have DAB, it requires a separate DAB receiver, which should provide info on antenna compatibility. Normally you require a second antenna (like a car kit aerial), which you mount on the windscreen.

Thanks for the help guys.
I made the BIG mistake of letting unicar insatll it for me. They told me I didnt need any additional cables and have just installed it with the facia plates. I now have no sound from the rear speakers or the subwoofer. They charged me £20 for installing it wrong. I now have to take it all out and redo it the correct way.
Nice stereo...just a shame its not working right at the mo.
