Changed my steering setting with VAG
I found the steering to be a bit light. After driving a sport (which is set to "6"), I had my setting changed today.
It's great! If your dealer will hook you up with a free update or two.. I recommend the steering fix, and the window fix.
The window update will open/close all four windows with the keyless entry remote... With long coding, it would close the opensky system as well, but I doubt the dealers will do that for you.

http://ross-tech.com/</a

VAG-COM > SELECT > 44 - Steering Assist (Drivetrain) > Adaptation - 10 > Channel 001
The factory steering setting is 8 on premiums/bases. I have seen a 6 on the majority of sports, and a 5. Another '5' was reported above.
The higher the value, the more power assistance you'll get. Speed is involved as well, as you suggested.
Set it at 0 and you will have an extremely direct ratio meaning you will have a more precise feeling in the steering wheel, when cornering, etc.

Bringing Audi to Life for Audi Fans
There must be many combinations of settings that will cause bad things to happen...I'm not even too comfortable with chipping. What kinds of QA processes does Audi go through with their software development, as opposed to the aftermarket chip tuners?
So many questions... can't wait to join the audi owners club
