keyless entry functioning

Has anyone had an issue with non-response from the keyless entry unit? Sometimes I have to slam the door shut for it to work - but it happens inconsistently. Any thoughts?

Try new key fob battery?

Just starting with the simplest solution.

Bring it do the dealer, it's a warranty issue.

Although what April suggested may be the simplest, it isn't the cheapest. Whatever the issue might be, it should be covered under warranty.

does it happen 100% of the time or only in certain parking areas. ie:

I had issues in a parking lot that was near REALLY TALL RADIO TOWERS.

I think i had a similar issue

It wouldn't work sometimes, and i realized that the car was still beeping as if i'd left the key in the ignition.

Warranty covered the replace of the ignition switch or whatever whch they thought was sticking. Haven't had it happen again...
