Default technology and advancement are over-rated

if you cant enjoy a car without gadgetry then IMO you are missing the point of April's post.

Default Really? Many of those cars are incredibly advanced.....

for their time. Some are just beautiful and will remain so until the end of time - long past when anybody will use cars.

A perspective of where we have been, is neccesary to fully appreciate where we are now. We're spoiled by our convenient and reliable cars today, having little to no appreciation for what our predeccesors had to go through to enjoy the latest technology of their day - and how many of the features in our present cars were available almost 100 years ago. We wouldn't be where we are without those people pushing the boundries. Instead of dissing it, we should celebrate it. It does require one take the time and effort to become a connoisseur in older cars since the information is not as easily acquired as with newer cars. You need to cozy up to people who have attained the knowledge through experience rather than books or internet. So I can understand why somebody as young as yourself hasn't yet exposed themselves to the full depth of automotive history. It requires being humble in the presence of giants (recognizing them, rather than waiting for them to announce it) and keeping your mouth shut....... (a hard won lesson myself;-)

Time will tell what other cars will join my list, but they won't get there just because some teenage boys work themselves into a lather over it in this month's magazine;-)

The CGT is difficult to drive (btdt), and now that the carbon parts supplier for the car has gone belly up, will be even harder and more expensive to fix when you inevitably crash it like most owners do:-)

PS,
I guess that means Jay Leno isn't cool either;-)

Default There are a LOT of cars I'd like to drive

I dont really want to own all of them as that would involve me knowing their intimate details and involving myself in their upkeep... no I just want to have a nice hot romp with the cars I like... and then hand them back over, maybe a few I'd keep if I really found myself inseparably enthralled with the car in question.

Audi
A4 STW/BTCC
RS2
Urq
S2
S3 *8L & 8P*

Alfa Romeo
GT V6 2.5
there are a few old coupe's I dont know the designations.
155 touring car

BMW *many just for body design*
2002 turbo and tii
M6/635csi
batmobile
E30 M3
E36 M3
E28 M5
E34 M5
E39 M5
each and every art car... for a day just to appreciate the designs and to drive the race cars... just a tad.

Saab
900 SPG
9000 aero
900 viggen coupe

Renault
R5 turbo 2
Clio V6 phase 1 & phase 2

Peugeot
205 Ti16
405 Mi16

Lamborghini
miura

Porsche
911 RSR '73 factory lightweight
964 turbo
997 GT3
914-6
914-8
944 (late production turbo club sport model)

Nissan
R390
R32 skyline GTS type M
S13
S14
pulsar GTI-R
primera BTCC car

Mercedes
190E AMG Evo II

Lotus
Carlton
Exige

Frankly this is getting boring... there are probably 100+ cars I really want to drive and or own.
