OBD code reader
Hey all,
Is there a portable OBD code reader that tells you if the codes have recently been cleared from a car? My mechanic was able to tell me that codes/memory had recently been cleared on the vehicle and was wondering if there's a portable one that has that capability? It would be nice to know if codes had recently been cleared while looking at used sales (private or dealership).

Hi there,
In OBD log memory you can only see the date of the last time cleared the codes. And only clearing via OBD is with device itself on the other hand if ECU log memory is full or pass the threshold keeping date ( for example 365 days after it deletes 365 days old codes but I am not sure the ECU has ability like that) it deletes automatically but it is not likely
