well, as you may or may not expect :-), when the warning came on, I did check all pressures, as I do every 2-3 weeks. R rear was down maybe 3-4 #.
So I took care of business. I thought that maybe putting good old air into the nitrogen, might be keeping the light on. But why won't the vag com clear the fault?

OMG.............RTFM! Thanks. I really need to be pulled over. I am asleep at the wheel. That's what I get for going to Subaru for 2 years. I never had to do a damn thing. I have to keep saying to myself....overengineering is good!

Ya, when you hold down the button to reset it, it turns off the light and SETS the TPMS at whatever the tires are at right now. When it drops 20% (or whatever the standard drop % is) again, the light will come back on. Check, fill and repeat.
