WTF!!??
ABRA did an excellent job on the bodywork and paint matching but what happened to my driver side window?

Take another look at the 1st pic, you will see a white plastic piece...
it came up from inside the door panel when I rolled the window up. Something has come unlodged or is off track inside the door panel. I won't know what's screwed up inside the door panel until Monday when the bodyshop opens.

I'm still thinking that the trim just lifted. The white peice looks like it could be a clip for...
the trim. Did you try pushing it down? It it rock solid? Where there any loud noises when this happened?

I noticed a 'thud' sound when 1st rolled the window down after leaving the bodyshop...
I thought it was just because it sat in the shop a week. It was like the window was over-travelling in the open position.
After a couple of more up & down actions, the white clip tried to come up with the window and hung. I had to readjust the window in order to close it.

MKIV Jetta / Golfs have been notorious for broken window clips.
Not due to impact or anything of the sort . . . just a crappy design / manufacturing defect.
I personally wouldn't roll that window up or down anymore until you bring it to the dealer. Not sure on the specifics but I think if it is broken, it might be possible for the window to fall down and stay down . . .

2nd...happened to my IV Jetta............
but Id go to the body shop 1st, if they know what they are doing, they'll know what happened.
Even tho it's the clip, it certainly was hastened along by the body work. what ever is easier.
