A3 1998 1.8T Fuel pump fuse blown
Hi guys,
My 1998 AGU A3 refused to start today. Checked the fuel pump fuse and it had blown. Replaced fuse, still wouldn't start but fuse did not blow again. Went out to get a new pump, fitted that, still not starting. I have ordered a new 167 relay to arrive tomorrow, but having tested the original one it clicks when power is supplied.
My battery is now flat and is over 5 years old, so was wondering if that could be causing the issues, not providing enough power/current and causing things to blow. New battery also being picked up tomorrow. Also I replaced the crack position sensor last year as that was causing a similar (not starting issue).
Just seems strange that the fuse went but now its ok. Also I have just turned on my HID headlights and only 1 side is working.
Any ideas. Thanks
