Audi A3 2007, Bonnet/Hood stuck, cable snapped
Can anybody give me some advice on how to release the bonnet/hood of Audi A3 when the normal release lever isn't functioning. It's a 2007 reg, 1.8 Tfsi.
The lever inside the footwell has the cable attached to it, which when you pull it the cable moves backwards and forwards, but very very easily, it's like it isn't attached at the other end and isn't actually pulling anything, which leads me to believe that it's snapped at the other end, at the catch.
I've took off the belly pan at the bottom and had a look up, but unless I'm looking in the wrong place I can't seem to see it from below. I wondered if anybody had a working model and could snap a picture when the bonnet is up, showing where I need to get to it. Or if anybody had access to exploded diagrams of it.
Thanks in advance!!

Does anybody else's front hood rattle because the latch is hitting the hook during idle?............
