EGR Valve Issues
Howdy yall. I'm the second owner of an 07' A3 2.0TFSI, which when I got it, it was broken in with 80k miles. 30k later, I'm here finding out that the low miles and classical music CD's in the disc changer are an indicator that this car for 10 years has been collecting carbon deposits and not burning due to conservative and mundane driving habits.
For 2 weeks now I've been having a check engine light come on and off giving me a quick read code of an EGR / VVT issue.
Due to the link below:
https://axleaddict.com/auto-repair/B...-Do-About-Them
I am convinced that this can be solved by simply cleaning my EGR Valve.
My question is... how do I do it?
I've seen a couple different videos on similar styles and ways of going about it, but the way I see it the best and safest way would be to remove the part and clean it with corroborator cleaner.
If there are any PDF service manuals or schematics I can check out or any pointers it would help a lot!
I have minimal experience, having only basically replaced the air filter and changing some lights myself. But it should be pretty straight forward if I have a good idea of what I'm doing.
Also, first post. Hoping to bring some good times to AudiWorld!
Thanks
