Audi A3 2006. No beep when locking doors with key fob or with the key itself. When I twist the black ***** under the hood (by the edge of the hood qty. 4) the small red light that blinks stop coming on; twist again the other way & it comes on. I believe there are two red lights, only the one on the right side works as describe above. There must be a link between the black ***** & the locking system.

Go into MMI to set beep for lock, the black buttons are switch for motion sensor on alarm iirc

MMI - multimedia. I own a 2006, mine does not have the all the gadgets.

I just fixed the issues with the key fob, all doors & the "beep" when locking the doors is back on !
