I'm looking at used S3 and A3's currently but with being in school I want to stick around 25k on my next car. Is it considered risky to buy a 50k mile used S3 with no warranty or play it safe and buy a lower mile A3. I'm coming out of a 2017 WRX so I do prefer a "drivers" car and don't want to be let down by an A3.

Or, you could still get the S3 and add an extended warranty that has good coverage. With only 50K, I would think you would be able to find a policy that covers almost everything except trim, services, squeaks, rattles, light bulbs, etc.

Find a good CPO S3, you get the best of both worlds. A better price on the car you want and a bit of security with the CPO warranty.
