IT Happened,,,,, Engine might be gone?
what would be my starting point to save time and money on repairing this to include what parts im gooing to need ??? your helpand input would be greatly appreciated..
Presuming this is the 2.0T, pull the inspection cover on the lower timing cover and see if the tensioner is actually fully extended.
Manually spin it to cyl 1 TDC (verified with a dowel or such in the cyl 1 spark plug hole; do not trust the vibration damper mark) and pull the upper timing cover and verify the measurements to the cam marks.

A4 and A5 are going to be similar in this regard. You might watch through these and see what you think of the process.

It's not like the Audi V6 approach where you drop the engine/trans assembly and then split it. Trans can stay in the car, but you need a jack to keep it up. You see he leaves the bumper in place, but I don't know why one wouldn't at least use service position to create some more clearance.
