I've found my trip computer to be about 2mpg too optimistic typically which is about a 10% difference. It always reports about 1.5 to 2mpg better than what I actually get out of my tanks.

My 28 combined is measured on fill up at the pump. For me the computer is optimistic by 4mpg.....computer says 32mpg - it's really only 28 for my car. Been very consistent and I have 9k miles on the car
