Maybe they will keep S5's from becoming common (steal some sales). S5 rarity is just the way I like it-- and another major reason I bought mine

So looks like they are putting the front bumper cap on the back also .I guess that saves manufacturing/design costs ,LOL.

The interior looks like an upgraded 1980's Chrysler LeBaron in terms of the busy pretend-classy stitching on the seats. The entire interior is simply tasteless and over the top and not at all elegant or function driven. Maybe this is an optional interior package for folks with tons of money and no taste, but for my money Audi trumps BMW every time especially for interior design.

Regarding the interior, this is from their Individual Collection and will not be available as standard order. It's certainly not to my liking. Also being a concept there could be some changes but based on history the exterior will largely carry into production. It will be interesting to see the final production trim including the M4 and Grand Coupe variants.

I would agree interior wise they still just don't measure up to Audi, but as every bimmer apologist will tell you, that's the way they like it - sparse (somehow people delude themselves into thinking too much luxury, even at this price, is a bad thing).
As far as the A5/S5 comparison goes, I think this new 4 series is new and novel enough that it would probably get a lot of looks on the road, vs. the A5/S5 which have been on the road for long enough that it probably doesn't get the looks it once did (that's my feeling, at least, not sure about the facelifts). The real test will be what Audi comes up with in a couple of years when it presumably releases the B9. This 4 series is a high bar to clear, but they can do it.
