S5 Cab in the snow??
But I'm also at the edge of my budget re: what I thought I was going to spend when I first started tinkering with the idea of buying a used one, which I've been unable to find, hence now am looking at new. When I add to that the need to buy another set of rims, tires, and then the inconvenience and fee twice a year to have them changed, the whole equation starts losing some of the appeal.
Appreciate the input. Thx.

Thanks, but when I priced a second set of wheels, it came in at over $2200 for anything decent. I plan to move south within the year, so I figure I'll get some miles out of the all seasons and then switch back to my summer tires when I'm permanently someplace warm.

Thanks. Those tires are a good value, but my local dealers told me they are on national backorder. I won't be able to get them for at least a month.

You WILL be sorry if you don't buy snow tires & wheels. Period.
Your not that good of a driver... no one is...when they going against the recommendations of not only tire experts...but Audi as well...and the laws of Physics.
There is a reason the OEM tires on your S5, & my A5 with the Sport Package, are calles SUMMER ONLY TIRES. Your car is too nice a ride to take any chances in rearranging its sheet metal.
And chances are, if you crash your car in the snow with the summer tires on it...and remember this IS addressed in your Owner's Manual...your insurance company may not cover you.
