S5 Production Numbers
Does anyone know how many S5s are produced each year and--perhaps more importantly--how many make it to the US?
All I know is that I rarely see them on the streets of Milwaukee.

not a common car. picked up my '13 s5 2 weeks ago.. haven't seen another one yet. before i got it, i saw only 1. i mostly see a5s everyday. even the older s5's i see once or twice a week at best. the cabrios i usually see more often. i'm in ny/nj

The first one (2013 updated) I saw outside the showroom was in lower Manhattan in July. I still had not gotten my ordered one. The wife said I was like "a kid in a candy store"
The exclusivity of this car is one of its many, many strong points. Bimmer 5 series are in this cars class but are seen too often.
Only thing I don't like about the S5 is the auto non-folding mirrors and non-sliding moonroof. The Q5 we have has both. They are nice feature if you've gotten use to them.

yea, it bothered me too, but when i thought about it. my prev car had a regular sunroof and i only fully opened that maybe 5 times over the 8-9 yrs i had the car. i only use the tilt option, yet it still bothered me so much this car didn't fully open. it's a HUUGE open panoramic sunroof though.. it's nice

I had the same consideration and considered it a drawback if I ordered a S5 (vs. the S4). However in my present vehicle, I have a panoramic roof. Rarely is this open due to the noise generated and difficulty with using the hands-free phone system. It should be good enough to have natural light into the cabin.
