15% off MSRP is a dream. There is only about 7% in the car. The only reasons someone could get to 15% is; 1) that is was a car that was ordered wit ha non-refundable deposit and it was never delivered 2) it is a car that has been on the lot for a very long time or 3) it was a unit sale that met an AoA sales target for the dealership.

I don't even think most people will get 6% off. No reason for a dealer to discount that much if the car has a high demand right away.

For a A4 it is possible in the state I live in. I am assuming you mean for the A5 SB.

Could it be like this till July or even all the way till the end of the year before they give discounts.

I was only able to get a few percentage points discount off of MSRP. They clearly wanted to do more, but the GM was having none of it. They increased the value of my trade instead.

I bought the car the day it hit the lot, and it was their only one. They weren't letting it go for less. My guess is it will be this way for a while, and I wasn't willing to wait. I admire you folks with patience that build your own!

Not price paid... but first quote from the dealership for two different builds:

A5 Sportback
Prestige (WPT)
S-Line (WQB)
Driver Assistance (PCU)
19" S-line wheels (PRL)
Ventilated front seats (4D3)
Exterior Color: Manhattan Gray (H1H1)
Seating: Nougat Brown (ZK)

MSRP (w/ destination, etc): $54,600
Out the door quote: $54,136

S5 Sportback
Prestige (WPT)
S sport package (PPU)
Driver assistance (PCU)
19" 5-spoke Cavo (PRJ)
Carbon Atlas Inlays (5MK)
Exterior Color: Daytona Gray Pearl (6Y6Y)
Interior Color: Rotor Gray (OQ)

MSRP (w/ destination, etc): $65,950
Out the door quote: $63,160

I haven't talked to another dealership yet, no haggling, asked them for bottom line price. In our state there is no sales tax charged at purchase (we pay annually). Thoughts?

I've been requesting quotes from some local dealers on an A5 SB Prestige with:
S-line sport package
driver assistance
cold weather package
ventilated seats
S-line wheel package

MSRP with destination is $56,900

most offers i'm getting are around $800-1200 under MSRP, but one was $52,489 ($4,411 under MSRP). That's got to be a mistake, right?
