Default Perhaps you can explain further...

How many miles....1st or 2nd owner? Auto or Stick..how did this happen?

Blowing a head gasket? or the entire head?

First time I've seen this mentioned in 2+ years.

I am the 2nd owner..tiptronic, 38,000 miles. the dealer says that it needs a new head, not just the gasket. He did say that he has seen this a few times with the 2.8 engines.

Default The ar is a 2.7 T...its very unususall...

You can "punch" up the history of the car. But as long as it covered...take it in stride.

What were the signs that you needed it?

this is only the second time that the service manager has seen it. The only sign was a small oil leak, performance seemed ok overall. But the mileage seems worse than average, and there is a "hole" sometimes when I accelerate from a dead stop..could be normal '01 turbo lag. It is covered under warranty, I really like the car otherwise.
