Default 2003 Allroad - ABS code - can't recode

I have ABS light and code.
Unlike defective ABS module (common) when there is NO communication with the ABS module (VAGcom doesn't even see it), I can see the module.
It is (not sure how it happened) NOT coded anymore.

I tried to enter code
06197 (and 3rd spot instead of 1 also tried 2 and 4; not sure what brake system is installed).
Does NOT take the coding.

Tried to 'login' with 07499 (according to VAGcom), but no luck.
Tried 07397 (found somewhere, I think A6 forum). Seemed like it accepts the login, I entere the softcode, but again does NOT take the coding.

We had the transmission module under water (corroded) and replaced.
And also found the module on passenger side, a bit up from teh floor on firewell bad and replaced. I think stability control module 4Z7907389A.

01044 - Control Module Incorrectly Coded
35-00 - -
01324 - Control Module for All Wheel Drive (J492)
49-00 - No Communications

did you ever find a fix for your problem? I'm having pretty much the same problem with my 01 allroad 6 speed swap.

Same here, what is the fix? Do I have to take it to the dealer and get it recoded? I hate seeing lights flashing at me.

I am waiting with bated breath for responses to this thread. My car had to have the ABS module replaced in response to all of the warning lights, for all systems, being on continuously. Now it is sitting for the third week in the shop of the local mechanic who supposedly knows how to code modules. He bought new software from Audi and is having a terrible time logging in to code my module. He says the only help available is send an email to Audi and wait for a reply. No doubt the dealer would ream me if I took it there, but I’m at my wits end.

I don’t have direct experience with this exact issue but I have logged in and changed coding on many modules over the years, including repairing defective modules including abs etc. I recalled reading this recently and noticed there are some additional logins mentioned here that you could try. Good luck 👍

Default Seeking source for used ABS module

My mechanic replaced the ABS module to solve my problem, which was all warning lights showing 100% of the time. Apparently the module came from an allroad with automatic transmission, and after repeated efforts he has been unable to recode it for my car, with manual trans. Latest software from Audi and so on. So the solution seems to be to find a module from a car with manual. I need to get suggestions for good sources for such a part! Does anyone have anything to help me?
