6K for a tranny rebuild? That's a huge amount. I rebuilt it including rings, sealings, lockup and brand new original valve body plus a safety selector swich from approx 2.6k this January by a renowned indy. Theoretically, I could sell the tranny and make the manual swap (I have the manual items already, as spares.... I planned to make this swap 3-4 years later) but a delivery from Europe would seem to be complicated.
