2005 Allroad XM activation problem
Hi there just picked up a cobalt blue 6spd a week ago form Hoehn. I have tried to activate xm that is built into the bose factory radio and have had xm send the signal to my car about 15 times. On channel 1 preview nothing happens after 20-30 minutes. The only thing I hear is previews for all that xm has to offer. I have a symphony II bose and when i try to turn the right dial to tune other channels, I am only able to scroll through 0,1,130, and 247. I can't go from 1 to 2 or 3 or 4,5,6,7,8,9 and so on. Please help. I also checked connections behind the radio as well as the truck to make sure i have a xm module which is plugged in. Any recommendations. Thanks,

That's normal to get only a few channels at first. If your receiving the preview then everything
works. Check that you have the correct serial number directly off the unit in the trunk. Make sure you are outside with no trees when they send the signal. You only have a few minutes to receive the signal. The unit will update and then you will have all the channels.

I tried this again but no luck. looks like my channels are locked or something. I have 0,1,130 and 247 set up on preset but can't get the other channels. How does one change or scroll channels?

Re: you are doing it right, your tuner is not gettting the activation signal.
I tried again this morning and had no luck. Waited 30 minutes but I can't change channels. Maybe I am already activated. How does one change channels or presets??? I am stuck with 0,1,130,147,247. When I turn the ****, it only shows the listed channels. Thanks again

turn on the ignition, turn on radio to channel 1 preview. Then wait 20 to 30 minutes and then after that I scroll through the channels.here is where I have a problem, I cannot scroll through any channels execpt some preset channels that were there when I bought the car.
