402 - when to measure height?

402 - when to measure height?

Do you measure the height before logging into VAG-COM, or when you launch the Coding screen? The reason I ask is that when I get into coding, the level adjusts itself.

It appears that my suspension doens't really maintain consistent levels. I successfully performed 402 mod, lowered the front end by 2 cm (422 values), and the rear by 1 cm (412 values), did the save procedure.

As I drive and park, the front left can be higher or lower, same with the rear. It's as if the suspension is parked at different levels.

The compressor does not kick in, there are no leaks. If I measure the front wheels, they will differ from each other, then after I drive, teh values will be different yet again.

Additional info.

Cycled through all 4 levels up and down several times after coding.

Also, there are no fault codes stored.

The 402 mod on the AR is great, BUT since the computer and leveling sensors have about 1/8" to 1/4" error span, you'd need to have adjusted more than 1/4" to notice a difference in ride height.

Even if you do notice a difference in ride height after your coding, there will always be that error span to the values you enter at each corner because of the leveling sensors not being exactly precise.
