50K bug

of course it would happen.....picked up the car after dinner last night and noticed the car had 50,001 miles on her, (no more factory warranty I thought), sure enough 5 minutes later the CD changer starts making a lot of noise like it's trying to eject a disc. Any thoughts on what this could be?

Did it eject? Did you try to eject? Does it play? Try another CD?

I assume you did some trouble shooting. Give us some more details.

It ejects just fine, plays just fine......

It's when the radio is on that it makes noises like it's going to eject a disc or is cycling through to skip to another disc

A good dealer will honor the warranty when you are that close to 50K with an issue

not that mine would

I had other problems at 50k and learned..

That the deales have their own flexbility granted by Audi to take car of "borderline" cases such as this. This flexability is the pervue of the service manager, not the writter. This is what mt service manager told me. He advise when this kind of thing happens. PUT IT IN WRITTING.. via fax directly to the manager and follow up with a phone call.
