Default airspring

while pulling into my driveway I had a front airspring explode.. I knew it was leaking as I had been watching it for a few days. Also the other side front bag had a slow leak, I sprayed both bags with soap bubbles to check them... As I have already replaced both of these airsprings over the last few years I think it is time to go with the coilovers. The original airbags are not durable, expensive, and at this point I believe unsafe.. I am glad I was only in my driveway and not on the highway.

definitely a scary thought.
Coilovers might be a good option but look into the generation two suspension parts from arnott.
i have a full setup from arnott on my car and am loving it and am pleased with the design of the parts.
To me it would seem the coilovers would make a whole bunch of unecessary issues for the computer and leave a whole lot of parts in the car useless.

However if you do go with the coilovers im just curious as to how the car will ride. if you could let me know that would be awesome thanks.

I have also replaced the original compressor. The $ of repeatedly replacing these parts is a waste of $ IMHO.i LIKE THE CAR, i JUST WOULD LIKE IT TO BE MORE RELIABLE.. i THINK IT WILL BE EASIER TO SELL WITHOUT THE AIRSPRINGS IN IT.. tHE COMPUTER LIGHTSsHOULD not be a problem to disarm. There are some sort of directions with the kit.. 4 gen 2 airsprings is a lot of cash to raise my suspension up and down a few inches, which I only do going through the car wash.

put 4 bilstein coilovers in car. rides great . removed computer wires, no lights on. No longer have to worry about air, will remove compressor to save weight maybe sell.Like car more now that there is less to worry about. If you have already upgraded to arnott gen 2 you should be good for a long time. More than 129,500 on my air springs and still OK (crosses fingers). I find the air ride height adjustment to be indispensable. You should look at the arnott air springs. They have a lifetime warranty. When mine do fail, that is what I will use.
