there is no best one...its a personal choice...
based on speed and feel.
I went from the Toy Guy Shifter to the Hypershift by Stramosphere. I'm very pleased with the change..it is faster, snick...snick...shift...shift. It also eliminates the "push down for reverse." Now its just a hard left and back to go past the gate.
I said personal choice for a reason. yshifter regardless of bearings will accentuate the ar tranny's notchines. This has nothing to do with the shifter but the design of the tranny. So the greater the reduction in shift movement, the higher the eof effort needed.
That being said, they are better than stock for shifting speed. Now its a matter of:
A Reenginered OEM stock shifter like Toy Guy or a completely solid single piece of alloy like the Hyperboost. (There are others, but I've had these.)
Now, you should also have an AWE Drive Train Stabilizer bar. This IMHO, makes a bigger difference to the feel and launch of the ride.

Thanks for the advice,I'll give Stratmosphere a call. I have the AWE-DTS, H-Sport, and a APR chip and would like the shifter and a exhaust. Any advice on a exhaust?

for plug and play you cna't beat a used RS6 exhaust...
just comb the forums and ask..anywhere from 200.00-500.00 plus new tips and install.
After that, magnaflow mufflers, then the high end; APR, Miltek, etc.

they can be found from time to time trolling RS6 forum, classifieds, etc., or..
you can simply order the parts from the audi dealer. they used to be cheap, but audi figured out what we were doing, and raised the price. parts run about $1500 or so, plus you'll need some fabrication that shouldn't run more than $100 at a local muffler shop.
