Default Allroad roof rack system

I will take delivery of my green Allroad in a week or so. Can't wait. Does anyone have a recommendation re: a crossbar setup for the roof rails? I use Yakima now for skis, bikes and canoe and can buy the Yakima adapters that clamp directly onto the rails with the Yakima crossbars in place and then can use all my Yakima stuff. Is there a preferable system to use or is this ok?

Default Yakima is fine...

The Yakima adapters which fit the allroad are the "doublecross". 48 inch (or longer) crossbars will fit.

I use the Yakima doublecross with 48 inch bars. Works great. I carry all my dog show gear up there and have had no problems.

Default Yakima also

I have a SpaceBooster which works well. I've also lashed a bunch of 8' and 10' 2x4s and 4x4s on just the crossbars. Soon to throw the kayak on.

Howls a bit above 60, especially with the sunroof tipped.

doublecross towers with 48 or 58 inch bars. Get the little windjammer piece ( a short foil) to eliminate all hum at speed. Works great.
