auto-locking
I have searched and have found many have had the auto-lock and remote window up and down features added, but it seems some dealers charge and others don't. any ideas how I can get my dealer not to charge? I took my car in today for some warranty work and they told me if I added these features I was going to have to pay.

Find some one who has a VAG-COM near you..
I did it for another poster on this board. It took 2 minutes. There are many freindly people out there. I'm sure you can find one who will help you out. You can also do the 402 mod for your suspension at the same time.

Each time......
It took three times for my settings to finally stick and work on a regular basis. First two times the car took the code, showed it on the VAG when I logged back in but didn't lock automatically (windows always worked). Knock on wood/formica, three time seems to be the charm as its been working fine for weeks now.
As for paying for it, what a rip off. Woodman is right on, its easy. Well, in fact I'd say less than 2 minutes. Seems like there is a vag locator somewhere online that lets you type in zip code and see who has one nearby. Where are you located?
