Do these really work?
Of consideration, does one stay with the rubber OEM valve stems or go with metal ones. I guess the answer to this depends on the style of driving that one anticipates on doing. Metal valve stems are supposedly the choice for high speed (performance) driving due to less flex, chaffing and deterioration. You wouldn't want a stem failure at 130 or auto-x-ing. However, metal stems can be weak link when off roading and potentially break (shear) when they come into contact with something solid.
Maybe flush mounts are the answer for the dual personalities of the allroad.
Just remember to take them off if you ever get a tire/wheel repaired or when you change tires. Not saying the guys'll steal 'em, just they may lose it/them.
I don't buy the tire-pressure story, I still have added some to mine every now and then.
As far as theft goes, I don't know, probably depends on where you live...I've had mine 10 months in NorCal, Bay Area...no problem...but then again at night it sleeps quietly in the garage and during the work day is on an Air Force Base (although there is theft there also).
Get 'em, they're only $15!
