Ok, in my opinion, my 6-speed A4 is definetly quicker....
than the tip AR, at least the AR I test drove.
As far as comparing it to the Avant S4, obviously different engine and thus A4 a bit slower.
Personally I like the new body style, especially the "rear end" and with the sport suspension it is a pretty sweet looking car!
Regarding room, at think it is more spacious than the B5, and as long as it is a commuter car for just yourself, I think it is very comfortable.
A used avant S4 might not bad either, but I would test drive the B6 6-speed before making a final decision....
