Frequent problem list

I've been browsing this forum and found these frequently problems for the Audi A6 (Allroad, Avant, Wagon - all seem to have the same probs).

I'm adding each as a response so please feel free to add to my list.

Cracked headlight washer pump

Leads to alarming consumption of fluid and puddles on the garage floor. $50-$70 DIY, $300 at the dealer (out of warranty).

Vibrations at approx. 60mph

Could be tires, driveshact, TCM, brakes. Alarmingly frequent. Sounds like a big money fix if out of warranty.

Power window issues

Malfunctioning anti-pinch, broken guides, amoung others.

Skipping CD players

Some people suggest lubrication fixes it. Others think it's a poorly isolated sub-woofer.

Fading LED dash display

No fix other than replace it for big dollars. Maybe turning down the intensity prolongs life.

Flying headlight washer covers

There's a simple fix involving tie-wraps. I will attempt this weekend.
