Front end slams down
Allroad: front slams down irratically
2001 Allroad:
Once in a while (irratic, not repeatable), the front drops down to the point that tires are rubbing.
Is that a sign that the height sensor (sensors?) are going bad?
Or more likely a bad wire or connector?
I had assumed that if a signal is missing (from sensor, or broken wire, etc.) that the system just stays where it is?
If that were the case, neither wire or sensor fault would cause the drop.
Is there a 'control module' that can go bad?
I have not had a chance to run a VAGcom diagnostic; would it show up?
