Geico Comes through with their extended Mechanical Breakdown Coverage..
WOW...a takes and extra day, but man is it a good thing.
When I bought the ar new, Geico asked if I wanted it..MBI... Its their version of an extended warranty, but its good practically any repairs that are needed to anything on the car. REGARDLESS OF MILES AS LONG AS YOU OWN IT. Each repair is a 250.00 deductible, but they base the deducton the system, not the parts. Ie Suspension and A/C repair is two deductibles. But all the parts on the suspension, if they are worn, shot broken, whatever needs to be done as one repair is covered. Authorization is needed, and an inspection for some repairs is required.
Mike at Tyrol, told me after I did the air spring (could have been covered but i didn't think) that my inerr TREs wer shot, The outers wer almost done and the control arms wer almost gone. Total Repair P+L $1300.00 (with S4 TREs.)
That's when Icalled Geico. Thhey took the info, made an inspection and OKed the work. About 2 days lag, but no problems.
Work is being done today, I'll have my ar back this evening.
