HELP!
Anyway, a "road force balance" (ugh - $175) solved the problem for me. Actually, it seemed at first that it "created" the problem, but rather we were waiting on one replacement tire (1 in a new set was badly shaped), and when the replacement tire was road forced as well, it tracked perfectly.
Car always had a slight pull to the right, even before new tires from OEM tires, but we never did anything about it (too busy/lazy I guess). Road force balancing made this car PERFECT like it never was before.

Bringing Audi to Life for Audi Fans
What do you mean by the "rack"? I'd like to give it a try. I think I have done everything else. Alignments, rotations and road force balancing etc.
As far as what we have been through, I'll try to keep it brief. We have made four repair attempts all over the west. Boise(twice) - we purchased the vehicle there. Idaho Falls where, in what seemed to be a rare moment of candor, they did actually agree that there was a pull. And then Salt Lake City where they were more receptive than Boise but not quite willing to admit that it was a serious problem.
Boise changed the Pirellis (which the local tire service guy said were the most oblong tires he had ever seen!) out for us with Goodyears (road force balanced). They also did an alignment and said it was "within specs". Idaho Falls did another alignment and rotated the tires and Salt Lake rotated them again. The Audi Consumer Line was a total waste of time as well. They are obviously just paid to repeat the same information as the dealership.
After all the attempts, we hired an attorney and we take the car to the arbitrator next week. If he decides it is pulling, we get our money back minus mileage (which was mostly piled on trying to get it fixed!)
The really aggravating part is that the service department in Boise denied that it was pulling even when two tire/alignment companies here wrote letters that it was. And now Audi of America has given instructions to all dealerships not to talk to us about the problem! It seems like their policy when there is a serious problem is to shut down communication entirely. I can't even get my salesman to call me and I have bought two Audis from him in two years. You would think they would jump on a problem like this but they choose to deal with it legally...
The sad part is that I still really want the car. There is nothing else out there that I like as much. With service like this though, I am definitely torn. Any advice?
