Help AR died while driving
While I was driving on the freeway today AR died (no power), had to coast to the off ramp and get towed - car had been running find, had just fill up tank, if I turn the key and all power stuff works fine and the car will turn over but without starting, it’s 6M ----- any idles?

Not sure if it's related to the car dying but here's the explanation of the code. My vote is the fuel pump though.

2) crankshaft position sensor
3) coils
4) ICM
The fuel pump has NO diagnostic code it has failed in VAG-COM

Fuel pump or Crankshaft sensor are the most likley. Coils...yes because all 6 failed at once....no. ICM, i dont think both could somehow fail all together and make 0 spark, there 2 and each one controls 3 cylnders. They will run as a 3 cylinder so.

It may be helpful for you to get one of those cheap vag com cables and use the free software from Ross Tech. It will allow you to read the fault codes you have and clear them too.

^^ Fully Agree ^^ ....If you don't have access to VagCom ($15 investment) and a service manual (Bentley), you don't have the proper tools to DIY...and just at the mercy of long distance guesses and/or a local clueless mechanic.
