Help in decoding VIN
I am looking at a 2001 Allroad and wanted to know if you can figure out which options the car has by the VIN numbers? Anybody know?

I don't think you can get all the way down to options installed, but I am not sure.

The only digits of your VIN that are model specific are 4-8.
I think digit 4 is the car line series
digit 5 is the engine type (2.7L v6 FI DOHC turbo)
not sure about 6
digits 7&8 are the model ID (allroad)

There are not too many options and most of them you can decipher from pictures.
There is the leather/sunroof option, the triptonic option, cold weather, hot weather, third seat, tire inflation, and nav.
