I've Done It!
Put down my deposit on an allroad. I've only wanted one for a little over a year (saw one at the auto show 1-1-01), and today I finalized the order. Local dealer had three chances to sell me a car, but that's another story. I called an out of town dealer to see if they had any allroads. They didn't, but he was more than willing to find what I wanted. So in 3-4 days, I should be the proud owner of an Atlas Gray 2002 with convenience, premium, luxury, and Bose.

You must have been trying to deal with Tom Wood--I had the same trouble. I couldn't get anyone to answer my calls--got put on hold any number of times and then the sales manager acted as though I had no other options than to pay whatever he wanted to charge. Bought my car in Cincinnati and saved over $4,000 from the Tom Wood price! If you see a 2001 alpacka beige ar around Indy, that's me.

Ah, Tom Wood. First I tried to get a deal on a 2001 (which is still on the lot). Then, I used their web site to build the 2002 I was looking for, and sent it to them. Their response was "We don't have that car". No offer to get one. Nothing.
So,Beechmont or Northland? We visited both when I was looking at 2001's. I'm going through Royal in Bloomington now, hopefully I'll have my allroad in a couple days. I've yet to see an ar anywhere in Indy, but I'll be looking.

Finally!
Well, 3-4 days turned into 2 weeks, and my Atlas allroad will now be silver, but at least I'm finally getting my car. We're heading out first thing in the morning to pick it up.
