Default jack stands..........

where do you place them? I jack the car up using the supplied jack and there is no room to fit a stand in the same location. I have always changed my pads and wheels one at a time and just left the car on the jack so have never run into this before. Now I need to remove both front wheels at the same time and I'm stumped......

Default Bzzzzzt. cinder blocks = brittle and unsafe...

not to mention where/how would you use them?

I put my jack stands under the front sub-frame right where the suspension arm connects. It is a little bit inboard from the edge of the car, but works fine and you don't have to stress about damaging anything.

Good luck.

Default Probably not good...

The control arm and bushing are not designed for the load of the car to be held there. Heaven knows here are enough control arm problems on Audis.

I put my jack stands just inboard of there under the subframe.

As an alternative, I put my jack stands under the subframe rails, with Delrin plastic pads to protect the frame. The pads are actually made for Porsche 944's but work well in other applications.

I'll take pics when the H-Sport bars arrive and I begin the intallation.

Default You should be able to get in on the actual frame part rather than teh control arm.

right there by the joint should work well.
